Hippocampus Abdominalis X-Large Pot-Belly, Pot-Bellied Seahorses: Mysterious, Yet Beautiful. Pot bellies are ready to travel to cold water tanks only. All hand raised here at our farm and are all trained to eat frozen Hikari mysis shrimp.
All our seahorse for sale are farm-Raised “Live” on our farm in Denmark. We follow strict good farming practices in raising seahorses and other aquatic life. We now captivity breed dozens of seahorse species which are now on display in our aquarium room and which we sell to hobbyists and aquariums worldwide.
Bigbelly Seahorse
The Bigbelly Seahorse is the largest seahorse in Australia. It has a low triangular coronet, low, rounded bumps above the eyes, and fleshy filaments off the head. Adult males have a very prominent abdomen, whereas females have a compressed abdomen with a keel down the middle.
Individuals range in colour from almost white to a mottled yellow, reddish or even brown, with irregular darker spots and blotches, and a broadly banded tail. They are often seen clinging to sponges and macroalgae.
